# ThreadLook — full description

ThreadLook (https://threadlook.com) is a free web tool for viewing public Threads profiles without an account. Threads, Meta's text-based social platform, asks visitors to log in before showing profile pages, even fully public ones. ThreadLook removes that friction by reading the same publicly available data Threads serves to search engines and link previews. It is an independent project, not affiliated with Meta; "Threads" is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.

## Profile pages
Any public account resolves at https://threadlook.com/profile/{username}. Each profile page shows the account's display name, bio, avatar, verified status, exact follower count (e.g. 5,524,339 rather than the app's rounded "5.5M"), total post count, recent threads with their like/reply/repost counts, and an engagement-rate estimate (average interactions per recent post divided by followers). A companion page at https://threadlook.com/profile/{username}/followers answers "how many followers does @{username} have on Threads" directly. Threads does not publish who an account follows, so following counts are unavailable to any third-party tool. Private accounts publish no post data and cannot be viewed.

## Follower count checker
https://threadlook.com/follower-count is a dedicated checker: enter any public username and get the exact, live follower count. Data is fetched on demand and cached for roughly 30 minutes, so figures are at most about half an hour old.

## Engagement rate calculator
https://threadlook.com/tools/engagement-calculator calculates a Threads engagement rate two ways: automatically from any public username, or manually from numbers the user types in (average likes + replies + reposts per post, divided by followers). Benchmarks: 1–3% is healthy mid-size, 5%+ excellent, under 0.5% normal for mega accounts.
