About ThreadLook

ThreadLook is a free tool for viewing public Threads profiles without an account. Threads, Meta’s text-based social platform, asks visitors to log in before showing profile pages — even fully public ones. ThreadLook removes that friction: search any public username and you get the exact follower count (not the rounded number the app shows), post count, bio, verified status, and recent posts, plus an engagement-rate estimate. It also publishes live leaderboards of the most-followed Threads accounts and a side-by-side comparison tool.

ThreadLook is an independent, single-operator project built in 2026. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc. “Threads” is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.

Where the data comes from

Everything ThreadLook displays is information Threads already publishes publicly. When a profile page is public, Threads serves its details — name, bio, follower count, and recent posts — to search engines and link previews. ThreadLook reads that same public payload directly from threads.com, the same way a search engine crawler does. There is no login, no private API, and no access to anything a logged-out visitor couldn’t ultimately see.

How fresh is it?

Profile data is fetched on demand and cached for roughly 30 minutes, so the numbers you see are at most about half an hour old. Leaderboards rank 195+ curated accounts from the same live data. The engagement rate is calculated from each account’s recent posts: average likes + replies + reposts per post, divided by followers.
