Breaking News: An ICE agent shot and injured a man in Austin, Texas, the latest violent episode amid the Trump administration’s push to increase deportations.
Breaking News: Federal officials are drafting an executive order that would help cement President Trump’s ability to control billions of dollars in scientific grants funded by the National Institutes of Health. The order would create a external committee with the power to veto awards that do not conform to Trump’s agenda, people with knowledge of the effort said.
“A decade ago, I made a decision about my daughter’s education that I hoped would challenge New York City’s separate and unequal school system,” Nikole Hannah-Jones writes. “Now 16, she thinks I made the wrong choice.”
